To be a ROAR-ing Burnett student (someone who is responsible, respectful and reflective) make sure you work hard to meet the following educational goals.

1.) Come to school each day with all required class supplies in your backpack.

2.) Be ready to learn at "On Your Mark!" This means your supplies are on the table, you are in your assigned seat, and quiet when the Tardy Bell rings. It is time to start class.

3.) Be a STAR student!

* Sit up in class.

* Track the speaker and listen.

* Ask and answer questions like a scholar (in a complete sentence).

* Respect those around you.

* Smile!

4.) Raise your hand (high, vertical arm) to share ideas, and wait to be called upon before speaking.

5.) When sharing ideas, speak loudly so that everyone in the room can hear you.

6.) Be a scholar!

* Try! Work hard to do well. Fix your mistakes and learn from them.

* Do your work neatly, showing that you have pride in your work.

7.) Help your peers be successful. If you know what to do, share your knowledge! Impress us! But, don't do the work for another student.

8.) Reflect!

* Think before you speak and act.

* Think about WHY things happen.

Why were you praised for doing something good?

Why did you get in trouble?

Why did you earn a particular grade on an assignment?
